Obituary For Barbara DelSesto Remor

Barbara (DelSesto) Remor, died April 3, 2013 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bruce Remor of Ashaway. Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Eraclio and Mary (Musso) DelSesto, she was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Remor was a graduate of Barrington High School and was a Registered Nurse at RI Hospital. She became head nurse of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic and was a member of the founding team of the Child Development Center. She was a private duty nurse for many years and worked at St. Elizabeths Nursing Home until her retirement. She was a member of Alpha Z Delta Nursing Sorority and a communicant of St. Lukes Church in Barrington. Mrs. Remor was an antique dealer and family business owner for over 20 years. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandson Kyle who was the light of her life. She will be remembered by her family as a kind person who took care of everyone and in turn, was loved by all who knew her. Surviving, a daughter, Connie Ganley and her husband Marc of Barrington/Swansea, sisters Anne Tryon, wife of the late John Tryon, of Indianapolis and Rosemary Del Sesto Graham and her husband Peter of Barrington. One grandson, Kyle Ganley, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren. Memorial Mass Friday at 10AM at St. Lukes Church in Barrington. Followed by a reception in the church hall.     Barbara joined our family many years ago when she married my brother. They shared a lifetime of love & happiness in a short time before he died. She did a wonderful job raising Connie by herself. Her kindness and consideration to my family certainly brought us comfort, especially my parents. Barbara was many things to many people. To my husband and I she was a warm, caring, loving sister-in-law. I know she and Bruce are happy together again. Connie, Marc & Kyle, I hope you are comforted by the memory of all the wonderful moments you enjoyed together.

    Connie, Marc and family: CJ and I were shocked to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a great gal - she and your Dad were great friends of ours - both at URI and in later years. Your Dad was my best friend. We have so many happy memories of both your Dad and Mom. We are comforted by the thought that they have had a great reunion in heaven and we'll see them again one day.     I worked with Barbara at Saint Elizabeth Manor until her retirement. She was a great nurse and a wonderful person. Those of us that worked with her had a tremendous amount of respect for her. She will be missed dearly. My condolences are with her family, especially her daughter and grandson who meant the world to her.
