Obituary For Charles Anthony Corry
Charles Anthony ("Tony") Corry was born in Providence RI on Feb 16 1925 to Norton Zinderstein and Elizabeth Corry. He attended Lawrenceville and Yale. Later, after a semester at Columbia Law, he earned an MS from Tufts and worked, with great satisfaction, in a neuroanatomy lab at MIT. Tony enjoyed working in a challenging academic environment. Before Yale, he served in WW2. Tony grew up hunting and sailing in Bristol Harbor. For most of his adult life, he lived in Cambridge MA. An avid reader of The NYT, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic, he was passionate about tennis, politics, and his friends, many of whom gathered in his living room to enjoy cocktails and political discussion. The election of Donald Trump was one of the greatest sorrows of his life. Tony was happy to live to see Trump defeated. He was married one time, and is survived by his son, Thomas Corry, and his stepsons, Terry Aladjem and Peter Aladjem. Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. For tributes, please visit www.wjsmithfh.com
