Obituary For Cheryl Ann Skuba

Cheryl Ann (Viera) Skuba, 66, of Bristol, RI, passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

She was the wife of Steven E. Skuba.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leona "Sally" (Palmeiri) Viera.

Mrs. Skuba was the owner and operator of Floral Designs Unlimited in Bristol for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren. She was a former member of the Bristol Rotary Club and had served on the 4th of July Committee for many years. Mrs. Skuba had also served on the Bristol Town Council from 1996-1998, as Chair for the Bristol Substance Abuse Task Force, and was the former secretary of the Bristol Democratic Town Committee. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Thomas E. Skuba and his wife Katherine of Warren, RI, a daughter, Dr. Cassara A. Pray and her husband Timothy of Barrington, RI, and four grandchildren, Genevieve, Theodore, Edward, and Tallulah. She was also the sister of the late Rebecca Soltys.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4-7PM at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 11AM, from Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 615 Main St., Warren.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bristol Firemen's Memorial and Welfare Committee, 4 Annawamscutt Drive, Bristol, RI, 02809.

My memories are all good ones - weddings, trading dinners, especially those fondues, her straight talk, ski weekends, and baby happiness. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her.     Cheryl was an amazing person - kind, generous, principled, thoughtful and creative. She shared these attributes and many more in her interactions with family and friends.
