Obituary For Elaine Ann Beausoleil

Elaine A. Beausoleil, 80, of Acushnet, MA passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Juliette (Arruda) Beausoleil. Growing up with dogs and cats Elaine developed a deep love for animals at a very young age. Over the years her love grew into a life-long passion and dedication. Working as a bookkeeper for 38 years, she worked alongside her best friend, Dr. Christine Gaumont, and helped to establish the Acushnet Animal Hospital in 1984. When she wasn't sharing her time with her furry friends, she enjoyed spending time with close friends, playing golf, gardening and the warm sunshine. She was a devoted Catholic and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Parish in Warren.

Elaine is survived by her stepbrother, James "Jimmy" Coombs of Newport, RI; best friend, Dr. Christine Gaumont of Acushnet, MA, as well as many loving friends. Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main Street in Warren, RI on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial. Elaine, you left for Heaven this morning with a moving sendoff from family and friends. I hope you are having a grand reunion with all of your past pets and family. Keep your eye on Chris from above. If you run into my Joe please tell him I'll be there as soon as I can. If I could, I would trade places with you.
