Obituary For George H Trombley

Warren - George H. Trombley ,Sr., 86 of Warren, died Friday at the Grace Barker Nursing Home, in Warren.

He was the husband of Eleanor R. ( Newton) Trombley .

George was born in Warren a son of the late Adelard and Florida (Lemieux) Trombley.

Mr. Trombley was a Grocery Manager, for the former IGA, First national Grocery Stores, for many years before retiring.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving as a Corporal , during the Korean War.

A Warren resident all of his life, he was a parishioner of the former St. Jean the Baptiste Church. He enjoyed painting, and reading books , bowling, camping, and he was also a Boy Scout Leader.

He loved riding his Goldwing Motorcycle.

Mr. Trombley was a dedicated family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children George H Trombley Jr, of Warren, Bruce Trombley of Pawtucket, David Trombley of Riverside, Michele Tarantelli of Warren, Lisa Hinkson of Deerfield , NH., and Carol Trombley of Warren.

He was the brother of Vivian Lombardi of Warren.

George is the grandfather of 11, and the great grandfather of 10, and the great great grandfather of 1.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Trombley was the grandfather of his grand dogs Zuzu, Charlie, Baxter, Zoe, Sparky, Kasha and Dixie.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 546 Main Street, Warren, burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Vernon St. , Warren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours and flowers are omitted. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue ,Bristol , RI, 02809.

    Vivian, Iâ??m was so sorry to hear of Georgeâ??s death. My memories of him are all positive. His children probably donâ??t remember how I used to babysit and play with them. My mom and dad always had such nice things to say about George, I hope the memories that the family has of him will help ease the pain of his death, Peaches
