Obituary For George Joseph McKenzie Jr.
George Joseph McKenzie Jr., 73, of Bristol passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fall River, George was a lifelong resident of Bristol. He was the son of the late George Sr. and Margaret (Alves) McKenzie and the husband of Marie (Castigliego) McKenzie. George was a graduate of Bristol High School, class of 1968 where he played on the football team. Later, he worked as a Machine Operator for Okonite Company for many years before his retirement. In his free time George loved to spend his time playing golf, fishing, bowling and taking trips to Foxwoods with his wife, Marie. He was also an avid Patriots fan and would make sure to catch every game. He enjoyed following all New England sports teams. Most of all, George loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Marie, George is survived by his two sons, Mark McKenzie and his wife Noreen of Portsmouth and Gregory McKenzie and his wife Jennifer of Bristol; a daughter, Lisa Souza and her partner Jeremy Lagor of Bristol; ten grandchildren, Alicia Vezina and her husband Ethan, Sophie, Tess, Evan, Jack, Justin, Abbigail, Ethan, Elijah, and Hope; and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Owen. He was the brother of the late Alan McKenzie. Services are with Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, where the family will receive friends and relatives for Visitation on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 1-4PM. A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. I've missed George before he peacefully went to the lord. We all ways played golf on Monday and Wednesdays together. He's my brother ! He was all ways there . I will miss him for the rest of my life..... Rest In Peace George Joseph McKenzie love jes

My sympathy to Marie and your family...George was such a nice guy and very competitive when we payed sports over the years, whether it was football or men's softball he always gave it his all for his team mates. RIP 'til we meet again.
