Jimmy was someone I really looked up to in my early teens. He would take me and his nephew Kenny to Red Sox games at Fenway and Celtic games at the old Providence arena. He was a great guy and an excellent baseball player. I haven't seen him in many years but I will never forget how good he was to us when we were kids. Alan Tavares
Jim Ferreira was everything a childhood friend could be. We shared many times together as students in elementary school. My mother and his Aunt Gilda would take us everywhere, carnivals and the like. He always had me as his guest at Rotary when I visited Bristol from my home in Ohio. I hadn't seen him in years but never forgot him and the wonderful part his was of my childhood.
