Jay Erik Smith, 52, of Middletown, RI, left this world on May 29, 2018. He was the son of the late Carol Smith (Kreiling) and Arthur Smith of Pittsburgh, PA. Jay lived the most of his life in Pittsburgh, PA, only recently moving to RI in 2016. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his beloved dog, Cooper. He leaves behind a very special friend David English in Pittsburgh; an aunt and uncle, Mary Deaner and Bill Kreiling of Conneaut Lake, PA; 2 cousins, Jill Kreiling Creton of Warren, RI and Karen Santrock of Morgantown, WV; and his dog and 2 cats. A memorial service in his honor will be held in Pittsburgh later this summer.
