Obituary For JoAnne Celender

Warren JoAnne Celender, 67, of Warren (formerly of Barrington and East Greenwich) died peacefully on Feb. 5, 2018 at the Crestwood Skilled Nursing Center.

A Pittsburgh PA native, JoAnne was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Mildred Celender. Loving sister of brother, Gordon Celender of Dublin, Ireland, and sisters, Judeth Harvard (Phillip) of Memphis, NY, Jean Celender (Jeffrey Schwartz) of Great Neck, NY and Jennifer Sirois (Daniel) of Tampa, FL. Devoted aunt to Kerri, Dan and Erin, and great aunt to William and Michael.

Art, fashion and hairdressing were her passion as a graduate of Arthur Angelo School of Cosmetology and Hair Design and Johnson and Wales University. She was a self-employed hairdresser for many years and also enjoyed knitting, drawing and painting, crossword puzzles, movies and the company of dogs.

A Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, East Greenwich. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Diabetes Association.
