Obituary For Joseph Souza III

Joseph Souza III, 38 of Swansea, died unexpectedly, on Monday May 17 2021 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Providence a son of Joseph Souza Jr, of Riverside and Susan (Couitt) Souza of Swansea.

Joey was the step son of Michelle Souza.

Joey was an order picker and packer for Wayfair.

Born of this world but not for this world. Joey's light will only be able to be seen as a new star in the night sky. He was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend. He was a talented football player, a hardworking coworker, an intelligent conversationalist, a great storyteller, a caring friend, a playful brother, a teasing uncle and loving son. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. But one thing is certain, he is now with a good friend that he truly loved. His love for Jesus was always strong and true and I know he couldn't be sitting beside a better friend.

Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers Gavin Souza, Connor Souza, Anthony Souza. He was also the brother of Tiffany Coderre and Joab. Joey was the uncle of Adrianna Souza and Shawn Crawford. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday May 29,2021 at 10:00am in Sacred Heart Church,118 Taunton Avenue, East Providence.

Burial will will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket Avenue, Pawtucket.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Joey was my friend and even though we hadn't seen each other in awhile he was still my friend. He could never find peace in this life but at last he has found peace with God and Uncle Wally. We will see them again.
