Joseph Souza Jr., age 85, of Warren, RI, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 at Newport Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Viera) Souza. Joseph had worked as a fiberglass fabricator. He was a member of the German Club, and he enjoyed duck hunting. Joseph was a Communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren. He is survived by a sister, Veronica Lavey of Warren, RI, a niece Alicia Puniello of Bristol, RI, and a nephew Wayne Masterson of Warwick, RI, and two great nephews, Bryan Masterson of Warwick, and Sean Masterson of Coventry. He was also the brother of the late Evelyn Dinges. Calling hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2 2022, at 11:30AM in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol.
