June and her parents, Pearl and Frank, were very special to my family. They lived close by and our families were very close when I was growing up. June would babysit all three of the Perry kids. She would always ask about my parents whenever our paths crossed. She was caring, wonderful and loving. The Perrys wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the Ferreira family.

When my family and I moved to Rhode Island in 1978 June and Jimmy were the first to welcome us "carpetbaggers" to Bristol. Through Bristol Rotary Jimmy and I became good friends. One day I commented on Jim's haircut (it was always impeccable). Without hesitation, he said "Thanks. My wife June cuts my hair and I'm sure she'll cut yours too." The very next Sunday my family and I were invited to the Ferreira home for a haircut and dinner. June was my hairdresser from that day forward. We have maintained that friendship all these years, even after I moved from Bristol in 1983. June was a lovely and gracious lady who always had a kind word for anyone she met. I always looked forward to seeing her and Jimmy any time I returned to Rhode Island. That friendship remains to this day. God bless you June!!

I met June in1989 and from then until the day she retired we where so close . I would give her breaks as receptionist for lunch , but we would talk about everything, even when I was deciding to get married. She had such a great motherly sense for advice along with a great sense of humor ! She was one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. There are so many stories to tell that it would take the rest of my lifetime to tell. I just regret I did not call her three weeks ago when I retired like I planned to, rather opted to wait til after my surgery. To Jim and Family Iknow you are all missing her and there will be a empty space, But believe as I do that she was such a wonderful person that only God could have sent an angel like her to all of us , But he needed her back, and one day we will all be reunited with his angel June again. TO All the family Be at Peace . For She will Rest in Peace ~Edward Ragosta

June passed away on a sunny afternoon leaving behind a treasure-trove of memories of her beautiful spirit. She really knew how to make everyone feel special. At every holiday and family occasion June made sure that, whether you were Gluten or Lactose Intolerant or just plain picky, you had a treat to enhance the celebration. No one was ever more caring and thoughtful than June. She will forever be missed and impossible to forget.

Dearest Jim and Sons: I just read the obituary on June and am in awe to see her beautiful face looking at me and a write up telling me that she passed away peacefully. I worked with June at June - Rose Salon in Warren for a number of years. June had such a comittment with her customers that was so loving to watch. We always knew when June had arrived to start working for in the distance you could hear that bubbly laugh and the final line of some story she was telling someone that was hilarious. June would drive Rose, the owner of the salon crazy for she would put phony names of customers in the appointment book so she could take a break when she felt she deserved one. I will surely remember her as such a good, loving and caring friend who every time we bumped into each other she would welcome me with open arms along with a big hug and kiss with her famous smile. I am so proud to have known June for all these years and to have been chosen by her to be a close friend. She was a ray of sunshine no matter where she was and a barrel of laughs no matter the mood in the room. She was loved by many and will be missed by the same. I am so glad you were with her when she passed because your mother was there when you took your first breath and you were there for her when she took her last. Not many get that opportunity in life, I'm one of them. June, may you rest in peace my friend, and know that one day you will be reunited with your family once they complete their journey as you have, and you'll all be able to pick up where you left off from when you said goodbye. Love you my friend. Linda Pin hero Sylvia

When June retired from RWU as the switchboard operator I was fortunate enough to be hired for the position. After a difficult conversation with a caller I called June at home and asked how she handled unpleasant people. She said the more unpleasant they got the nicer she got! Best advise should could have given me and exactly the way she lived her life! You will be missed, June.
