Obituary For Les Hubbard

Les Hubbard 49, of Warren, Rhode Island passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2018. Les was born on August 19, 1968, in Lynn, Massachusetts to Joanne and Leslie Hubbard. Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Lori (Macedo) of 21 years.

Les leaves two children, Jordan, 19 and Dylan, 17. In addition to his children, he leaves five sisters, Dorene King, Kathryn Howarth, Karen Fryzel, Sharon Senechal and husband Michael, JoAnn Goulart and husband Jeffrey. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Les graduated from Bristol High School. He completed ROTC Training. He also graduated from URI. He loved working for his familys sandwich shop, Riccottis, in Bristol. He went on to work for the WIC Program for many years.

His true passion was music. As an accomplished musician he composed and recorded many original albums. As a self-taught musician he mastered the drums, piano, bass, guitar, and harmonica. He performed for family and fans who would enjoy seeing him play. He was proud to perform for the Bristol Fourth of July Concert series. He was a member of many local bands over the years.

Les was an avid reader, a Facebook enthusiast and enjoyed traveling with his family. He was kind, artistic, creative, intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humor.

His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17,2018 at 10:00am in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren.

    I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Les. I, too, enjoyed his Facebook posts and his sense of humor. I remember Les from his childhood on Echo Farm Drive. I am so sad for his family, his parents and sisters, Lori his wife and his children. May you only have happy memories of Les and may he now be at peace.

    I grew up with Les and his wonderful family. He and his family lived on my street for a few years and there are so many memories of going to Riccotti's as a young teenager. Les always had his way of being funny on Facebook and he was know for being an incredible musician. I am sorry I never got the opportunity to sing with him. My deepest sympathies to his parents, wife, children and siblings. He will never be forgotten. I will miss your music, Les.
