Obituary For Linda J. Mello

Swansea - Linda J. (Lopes) Mello, 65, of Swansea, died Friday ,May 4 , 2018 at the Country gardens Nursing Home.

She was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John and Olivia (Cordeiro) Lopes.

Linda had worked in Accounting for several banks, for over 39 years.

She had enjoyed knitting,reading, and listening music and the Beatles, were her favorite band.

Linda also was very proud to travel to England. She had also liked Giraffe's.

She loved to spend time with Colton and Lucas Little, and also her two cats Smokey, and fluffy.

Linda is survived by her God child Jacob Little of Tiverton.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of her life, on Thursday , May 10, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road Warren, RI.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition,PO Box 202,Franklin, MA 02038

    Linda was a true friend to me. When I was in America, with my then boyfriend, Bob, we became friends as we both enjoyed seeing his band play. We were both Beatle fans and dancing partners. I remember her happy smile. When I was coming home from spending summer in the Us, Linda bought me flowers and a beanie toy. We stayed in touch by letter - I still have the letters she sent me. I so regret that I lost touch with Linda. Only recently I was thinking of trying to get in touch with her again. I am so saddened to hear that Linda is no longer with us. I will never forget my true friend. Thank you Linda for your friendship. May you rest in peace.
