Obituary For Lydia Rego

Lydia (Paulino) Rego, of Bristol, RI, formerly of Warren, RI, passed away, Friday, July 23, 2021, at Warren Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Warren, RI. She was the wife of the late Lewis Rego. Born in St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Bernardo) Paulino. Mrs. Rego had worked as an assembler at BA Ballou for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Thomas the Apostle and enjoyed taking part in church activities. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Rego of Bristol, RI, two daughters, Priscilla Salzano and her husband James of Bristol, RI, and Cynthia Greene and her husband Ronnie of Warren, RI, two brothers, Herman Paulino of Barrington, RI, and Frank Paulino of Bristol, RI, six grandchildren, James Salzano, Matthew Salzano, David Salzano, Meagan Girard, Corey Girard, and Tyler Rego, nine great grandchildren, Nicholas Salzano, Kiley Salzano, Alexandre Girard, Nathaniel Girard, Angelic Girard, Deana Girard, Jeremiah Girard, Jilary Girard and Priscilla Girard, and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David Rego and sister of the late Louise Smith. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, from 8-9AM in Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, RI. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 930AM, from Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 500 Metacom Avenue, Warren, RI. Burial will take place in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon Street, Warren, RI.
