Obituary For Madeline R. Sweet

Warren Madeline R. (Sampson) Sweet, 94, of Warren died Saturday January 30, 2021 at Hope Hospice, in Providence.

She was the wife of the late Russell O. Sweet.

Madeline was born in Warren, the daughter of the late Alexander and Loretta (Foley) Sampson.

She was a homemaker, a lifelong Warren resident, and a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church.

Madeline and her late husband had owned an antique store called Sweets Catch, and they also owned Sweets Seafood.

Mrs. Sweet was an avid gardener, she enjoyed reading, and travelled when she could.

She loved spending time at her home and in her yard.

She also loved her cat Abby.

Mrs. Sweet was the mother of Rebecca Palumbo and her husband Gary of Bristol and Catherine Salamon of Bristol.

She was the sister of Gerald Sam Sampson of Warren.

Mrs. Sweet was the grandmother of Bryan and Michael Palumbo, Alissa and Amanda Salamon.

She was also the great grandmother of Sarah, Allison, Alexander, Jacob, Ella Palumbo and also Levi Chabot.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Madeline was the sister of the late Alice Joyce Annunziata.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

Madeline will be buried in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Warren.

    My condolences to Beckyâ??s and Kateâ??s family and to the grandchildren Bryan, Michael, Amanda and Alissa. My great uncle Russ always talked about his wife Madeline and you could see that he admired and loved her. Madeline had a smile that you can never forget. Becky, Kate, and the grandchildren remember all the good memories of your parents and grandparents. My prayers go out to your families as Aunt Madeline will be reunited with Uncle Russ.
