Obituary For Martha A. Patterson

Martha A. Patterson, 84, of Warren, RI passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 with her loving family by her side. A daughter of the late Everett and Mildred (Johnson) Robinson and the beloved wife Robert T. Patterson, Martha was a lifelong resident of Warren.Martha was lucky enough to marry her High School sweetheart, Robert, and the two shared 66 years together. Martha worked for Amica Insurance for 22 years, until her retirement in 1999. In her free time. She loved to go skiing, ice skating and camping. Martha loved cooking and was often found in the kitchen preparing meals for her family. An avid gardener, Martha was known to have the gift of a green thumb and could make just about anything grow and thrive. But, most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.In addition to her loving husband, Robert, Martha is survived by her sons, David T. Patterson and his wife Kristin of Barrington, RI and James F. Patterson of Warren, RI; her grandchildren, Ryan Patterson and his wife Tiffany of Johnston, RI and Rachael Patterson of Warren, RI; and her sister-in-law, Joan Robinson of Warren, RI. She was the sister of the late Everett Robinson Jr. Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Monday, April 17 from 5-7PM. A Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 9AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren, RI. Burial will be at St. Jean the Baptiste Cemetery, Greenlawn St. Warren, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice, 1185 E. Main Rd. Portsmouth, RI 02871. The last time I saw her was at our 50th reunion and I remember her well from high school. She was always a sweet lady.
