Obituary For Meg Ann Larsen
Margaret "Meg" Ann (McCallum) Larsen, 67, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022 from complications due to Multiple Sclerosis at Dawn Hill Home Rehab & Healthcare Center, formerly St. Elizabeth Manor, where she was a resident for nearly 22 years. Born in Providence, Meg was the daughter of the late Edward and Clare (Baker) McCallum. Meg attended Bristol schools and graduated from Bristol High School in 1972. She worked at AMICA Insurance Company before leaving to raise her family in Barrington, RI. Meg enjoyed sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She loved talking about the players and watching the games. She had many cherished friends at the nursing home and enjoyed bingo, making crafts, sitting outside in the sun in good weather or roaming the halls to visit with her fellow residents. Meg leaves behind her two children, Erica Bell and her husband Derek of Warwick and Gregory Larsen of West Warwick; her sister, Clare White and her husband Paul of Barrington; her two brothers, Edward "Ted" McCallum and his wife Bonnie of Newtown, CT and James "Jim" McCallum and his wife Lucy of Bristol, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late John Baker McCallum. The family wishes to thank the staff of Hope Hospice and Dawn Hill Home that cared for Meg for so many years with great compassion. As a long-term resident, Meg was loved by many current and former staff and residents. She will be missed dearly. Services are with Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11AM in St. Mary's Church, 330 Wood St. Bristol, RI. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Activities Program at Dawn Hill Home, 1 Dawn Hill Rd. Bristol, RI 02809. For tributes, please visit www.wjsmithfh.com

Although high school was a long time ago, we were friends and I treasure the time spent with Meg. She was loving, fun, adventurous and just quirky enough to be her own distinctive self. I know her family was a source of great support and I would like to express my sympathy. Barbara Byrnes Robinson

Aunt Meg was the best. She was one of my favorite (and first) babysitters. I find myself talking about her every time I try to make Jiffy Pop without burning it. We're making peanut butter blossoms in her honor today. MS can be a very isolating disease. I'm relieved to know she made the best of her time at the nursing home. I'll always admire her patience.

Dear Clare, Ted, Jim, and families, Meg-a-doo was always my favorite cousin. We were all so lucky to have her in our lives. I remember visiting at your house, and Meg and I would hide me so I wouldn't have to go home. Of course our parents always knew where I was. I never wanted to leave her or your happy family. Heaven has her now, but I will always remember her beautiful eyes and quick smile. Susan "Suddy" Baker Daly
