I met Mike at a difficult time in his life. Mike soon began a personal journey of rebuilding himself. Mike accomplished what he set out to do, back to work as a skilled mason and returning home at night to still on the steps of the porch with his cat. Mike also seemed to attract a stray cat or two that he would care for. I had the honor of living next the Mike for a few years and got to know him as a soft spoken, caring, gentle person with a remarkable intellect. Whenever we crossed paths or had phone call, I was always happy to here he was ok. Mike often spoke of his family and his church. I hope Mike is at peace.
