Nancy Billings Stone, age 90, of Barrington and Bristol, RI. passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Dawn Hill Nursing Home in Bristol. She was the beloved wife of 65 years of the late Gordon Stone of Attleboro MA. Born in Wellesley, MA, she was a daughter of the late Dwight and Constance Billings. Nancy had managed an Art Gallery on the Newport waterfront for 15 years where she sold prints from different artists including John Stobart. She also enjoyed playing Bridge with her Barrington/Bristol groups, was an excellent chef, and loved animals. Gordon and Nancy loved to entertain friends and family endlessly. She was also a key founding member of the Roving Royal Ladies Cruising Club of America, which both Gordon and Nancy cherished for over 60 years. Nancy is survived by two sons, Douglas Stone of Jamestown, Jeffrey Stone of Barrington, and a daughter Susan McCabe of Naples, FL. Along with one grandson, Alexander Stone of Los Angeles CA. she is survived by two sisters, Sue Billings of NH, and Lee Fletcher of TN. A burial will be scheduled for a later date.
