Obituary For Sandra Venice

Sandra M. Venice, 73, of Bristol, RI, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. A daughter of the late James and Mary (Olive) Toolin and the devoted wife of Robert H. Venice for the last 52 years, she was a lifelong resident of Warren and Bristol. She was the proud dog mom to Jake and Molly.

Sandra worked as an Administrative Assistant at Roger Williams University for 35 years before her retirement. However, she returned to work this past September as a Lunch Monitor at Guiteras school, a position she found she truly loved. Those around her would often say that she was always happy and wearing a big smile. In her free time, Sandra loved fishing, gardening, spending time with her animals, kayaking, watching her favorite sports teams and spending the summer days on the boat. Most of all, Sandra took the greatest pride in being a loving Mother to her children and extending that love down to her Grandchildren. She would always be there to support them for all of their sporting events. She will be sorely missed by all she touched with her kindness.

In addition to her loving husband, Robert, Sandra is survived by her daughters, Sandra Desmarais and her husband Kyle of Bristol, RI, and Kimberly Terceiro and her husband Eric of Warren, RI; her brothers, James Toolin and his wife Shelly of Fall River, MA, and Timothy Toolin and his wife Maureen of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her sisters, Kathleen Roy and her husband Bill of Dover, NH, and Patricia Hawkins and her husband Dennis of Springfield, MO; and her four grandchildren, Jadon, Brooke, Matthew and Caitlyn and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Gary Toolin.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Saturday, April 1, 2023, 8-10AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren, RI. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Greenwich Animal Protection League: 40 Worthington Rd., Cranston, RI 02920. I knew Sandy growing up. She was always laughing & smiling no matter what. I can see her in that huge car she used to drive around in. She would take me & her sister Kathy for rides. She was a lot of fun. After she married she always welcomed us into her home. Watching her animals have the run of the house to our delight. We shared our love for animals. Bobby. Sandy. Kimmy. Jim, Tim. Kathy., Patty. & families know if anyone deserves to be in Heaven it's Sandy. May she RIP.
