Obituary For Alfred Figureid
Alfred E. Eddy Figureid, 92 of Libby Lane Warren died Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Grace Barker Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Ruth (Gervais) Figureid for over 69 years.
He was born in Warren a son of the late Antone and Maria (Soares) Figureid.
He was a US Army-Air Force Veteran serving as Staff Sergeant during WWII. Mr. Figureid was a life member of the D.A.V, a member of the American Legion. Eddy, was a Foreman for the Warren Highway Department for many years before retiring. A lifelong Warren resident, he was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, gardening, cooking, and baking. He was an expert pie maker. He enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Alfred Figureid Jr. and his wife Sara of Pensacola Florida, a daughter Ruth Medina and her husband John of Bristol. He was the grandfather of Elizabeth Meehan, John S. Medina, Eddie Figureid and Denise Arley. He was the great grandfather of 4, step grandfather of 4, step grandfather of 15 and great great grandfather of 1. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Donna Figureid. Eddy was also the brother of Frank Figureid, Joseph Figureid, Robert Figureid, Antone Figureid, Henry Figureid, Rudy Figureid, John Figureid, George Fairchild, Evelyn Bryden, Eleanor Hawkes, Laura Hewlett, Margaret Marvos, Serephina Moorehead , Amelia Tourigney, Mary Bartosowitz all of which predeceased him.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00am from the SMITH Funeral and Memorial Services 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, with a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Burial with Military Honors in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery, Vernon St., relatives and friends are invited to attend. My condolences to the family. May you rely on the "Hearer of prayer" for comfort and help during this difficult time. (Psalm 65:2) The help God supplies does make a difference. While it does not eliminate the pain, it makes it easier to bear until God's promise of the resurrection found at Acts 24:15 is fulfilled.

Sorry to hear of Uncle Eddie's. He was well liked by our family and I remember him as a generous man when my mother passed away. I pray Gods Blessings of comfort on Aunt Ruthie and all the family.
