Obituary For Alice R Funk

Warren - Alice R. Funk 84 , died Thursday February 8, 2018 at home after a short illness. Born in Madison Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the John C. Sprecher and Bertha (Pankow) Sprecher. She was the loving mother of Katherine Howard and her husband William of Swansea and the late Peter and Robert Funk. She was the mother- in -law of Leslie Funk.

She leaves two grandsons Robert W. Funk who lived with her and Justin Rita.

Also Survived by many nieces and nephews.

She has been a Warren resident since 1963 she worked for over 50 years at the Warren Animal Hospital as a veterinarian technician.

Alice was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Barrington and a member of their Altar Guild.

She was predeceased by three brothers Robert, Frederick, and Charles Sprecher and two sisters Jeanne Faust and Kathleen Lawler.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 School House Road, Warren, where family will receive friends Tuesday February 13, 2018 from 4-8pm Funeral Wednesday at 9am from the funeral home, 10am Service in St. James Lutheran Church 49 Middle Highway, Barrington RI.

Burial will be in South Burial Ground Warren,RI

    So sorry to hear of Alice's passing. I always thought she was such a nice person. Her being an animal healthcare provider put her on the top of my list. My deepest condolences to all.
