Alicia Rosemary Tattrie, 19 of Schoolhouse Road, Warren died Monday at home. Beloved daughter of John and Cathie (Alden) Tattrie. She was a student at Meeting Street School. Before she was two, Alicia was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She endured three years of treatment which left her with many physical and mental handicaps. Alicia worked very hard to overcome these disabilities. She was the joy of her family. Alicia was on Meeting Streets, Special Olympics bowling team. She loved her many animals, especially the cats who frequently slept with her. She loved to read, especially cookbooks. Her smile and giggles could light up a room. She was the adored sister of Audrey and Jack Tattrie. She will be sadly missed by her best friend and grandmother, Rosemary C. Alden. Loving granddaughter of James and Patricia Tattrie. She leaves her aunts and uncles, Lara and Richard Devaney, Skip and Ann Alden, and Joseph Cabral. She was a cousin of Tara, Samantha and Joseph Alden; Robert, Thomas, Katherine and Matthew Devaney. She was predeceased by her adoring grandfather, Joseph Paradiso. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren where family will receive friends, Thursday, December 30th, 3-8pm. Funeral Friday, December 31st, 9am from the funeral home, 10am in St Thomas the Apostle Church, Metacom Avenue, Warren. Burial will be in St Mary of the Bay Cemetery. My family and I send deepest condolences to you and yours. I was trying to go to the wake, but as you well know in this business, Cathie, I got a call from a family and had to respond immediately. I had two funerals the next day and unfortunately couldn't attend Alicia's funeral. My heart goes out to you and may God make the pain in your hearts ease as time goes by. I am so sorry for your loss of Alicia. She will be greatly missed. Her smile and her ability to make us smile were a big part of our classroom. A smile from Alicia was all it took to make my day.
