Obituary For Angela J Principe

Angela Jane (Matarese) Principe, born December 4, 1918 in Leominster, MA, joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2015.

Beloved wife of Lawrence Principe (deceased) and mother of Mary Ann Dill, of East Providence, RI, and Lawrence Principe, Jr. (deceased) and Elin Principe, his wife, of Bristol, RI. Beloved eldest sister of Gaetano Matarese, Elizabeth Matarese, Casperino Matarese and Thomasina Travers (all deceased) and Henry Matarese and Antonio Matarese, both of Warren, RI.

Adored grandmother of Linda and John Finn, Susan and David Wirth, Jeffrey and Lindsey Dill, Cynthia Dill and Tom Clarke, Michael Dill and Gretchen Nelson, Melonie and Michael Massa, Sean Principe, Sarah and Mark Rodrigues, Rachel and Cory Walker, Abigail Principe, Faith and Joshua Furtado, Grace and Vincent Della Chiesa and Miriam Principe.

Cherished great-grandmother of Phoebe, Jack, Matthew, Kevin, Madison, McKenzie, Ben, Harrison, Isabel, Marina, Luke, Evangelina, Amalia, Andrew, Joey, Nicole, Kyle, Mason, Hannah, Prudence and Ashton.

Angela loved music (opera), gardening, cooking, the outdoors (Colt Park was her favorite), crocheting, and babysitting. Devoted to family, she was always kind, generous and grateful for her abundant blessings.

For 35 years Angela worked at Carr Fulflex, Inc. in Bristol, RI, where as Exec. Secretary of the union she traveled to AFL-CIO meetings, spoke with Sen. Ted Kennedy and Cesar Chavez, and fought for worker protections. Angela strived to make a difference for her co-workers health benefits, and she succeeded.

Family and friends are invited to the Smith Funeral Home, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, RI, to celebrate Angelas life on Saturday Nov. 28, 2015 from 11:30am to 12:00pm followed by a funeral home service at 12:00 noon . burial is private . www,wjsmithfh.com
