Ann was an environmental activist and champion of the Kickemuit River. She had a plaque dedicated to her in 2021 titled, The Guardian of the Kickemuit. She founded the Kickemuit River Council, and was active in the Laurel Park Improvement Association and Rhode Island Rivers Council. She wrote grants, letters to the editor, and volunteered tirelessly for numerous environmental causes including Save the Bay and the Environmental Council of RI.

She caused a lot of pain in many peoples lives through her advocacy as a typical left wing radical: large heard but small and vindictive brain. She will not be missed

Mrs. Morrill was a first rate teacher and friend of my mother for decades at Martin School.During these years my mother got to know and appreciate Ann's dedication to her profession and students. She always was so patient and dedicated to her students. My mother said more than once she was an angel in human form. She truly appreciated the little things in life.Once I did a small favor for her and Mrs.Morrill literally thanked me decades later! The world would be a better place with more people like Mrs. Morrill. She was a gentle, caring and loving person and I will miss her but never forget her.My deepest sympathies to the Morrill family and friends.Philip Lycurgus son of Dona Lycurgus.
