Ann M. Burch, age 87, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Bristol, Rhode Island, passed away on December 20, 2025.

Born on July 19, 1938, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Ann lived a long and meaningful life and was devoted to her family and friends. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, never-ending wit, and the steady presence she brought to the lives of those around her.

Ann graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in Newport, Rhode Island, and Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. She dedicated 38 years to nursing, a profession in which she took great pride. Ann worked at The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital, where she served as Manager of the Operating Rooms, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and staff alike.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert G. Burch; her son, Robert G. Burch II; her parents, Timothy D. Sullivan and Lucille Gleeson, both of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; and her sister, Patricia Smythe.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Robin Burch of Bristol, Rhode Island, and her son, Kevin Burch of Tucson, Arizona, with whom she resided. She was a loving grandmother to Erin A. Mantoosh of Florida; Gary A. Mantoosh II of California; Robert G. Burch III (Brooke Antone) of Rehoboth; Ashley LaRiviere (Greg); and Ian T. Burch of Swansea, Massachusetts.

She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Nancy Burch of Swansea, Massachusetts, and her former son-in-law Gary A. Mantoosh of Florida.

Per Ann’s request, calling hours are respectfully omitted, and Funeral Services will be private at the North Burial Ground in Bristol, Rhode Island.
