  Art I wish I would have had a chance to say goodbye 😞. You were there at the start of my engineering career and I'm grateful for that. Besides your technical experience you were also a good friend. Between the free lunches and the fishing trips I smile when I think of Art. He was a good man and a great friend. My condolences to his family....and Patrick you keep that torch lit!   Sigma Phi Whereas it hath pleased God in His infinite wisdom to remove from our midst our friend and brother, Arthur W Cannon V57 Be it resolved that we, the Alpha of Vermont of Sigma Phi, do hereby extend our sincere sympathy to the family of our deceased brother, and be it further Resolved, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family and to each chapter of the society E.P.V. April 19th, 2022 This was reported by the brothers responsible for contacting brothers from the early nineteen fifties during the recent fund raising campaign and it was discovered that the death was never reported to our chapter. Never Forget!

  Sorry of your loss. Mr Cannon was a wonderful gentleman that was very kind. He allowed me to park in his lot for several years. I will miss seeing him and saying hi to him. May he rest in peace

  To our friends at Cannon and Associates and the entire Cannon Family: I was able to get to know Art from my work at Milwaukee Electronics. Art was a smart business guy that taught me a lot about the selling and serving customers. When ever we connected he was always interested in my life, my family and how my kids were doing. We both loved duck hunting, fishing and the outdoors. We shared many hunting and fishing stories and really loved to talk about our dogs too. Art was certainly a savvy business guy but most of all, he cared about others. He was a coach and mentor. As such, he wasn't always good to hear from (ha ha). He pushed me to be better. I'm better in business, a better leader and a better person for having known Art. I treasure the times I was able to spend with him and the things I was able to learn from him. I will miss him.   To the Entire Cannon Family and To all those that knew and loved Artie- We have lost one of the greats with the passing of Art. He was one of a kind. He had a heart of gold and shared his passion, enthusiasm, conviction, and knowledge with all that crossed his path. Those that close to Art knew that he pretty much always spoke his mind. He was a committed family (and extended family) man, avid outdoorsman, hard-driving businessman, active citizen, and a friend to many. He had a million stories and loved to share the incredible adventure that was his life. I was lucky enough to sit with him just a few weeks ago on that porch he loved so much as he recounted stories of skiing in Vermont in the 1950s, the early days in California courting Joan, fishing over the decades, the achievements of his children and grandchildren, and his good fortunes in building and running Cannon associates through the years. He commented that he "was just a kid from Rouses Point (NY). That place was in the middle of nowhere! And look at all I have done". He continued, "I have met some great people. The experiences I have had, the family I have...I have been so fortunate". He laughed a bit as he often did when he told stories, and then commented, "What a life it has been". For me that summed up Art. He lived his life fully and shared all that he had with his family, friends, and the greater community that he lived in and served. Right up to the end he continued to work hard, give to others around him, and plan for his next project and adventure. Art and his character, spirit, and drive will be missed. Our condolences to the entire family. My bet is that Art is smiling somewhere now with Joan and telling her about the next item on his "project list"! Greg Dubel and Family

  A true friend for almost 40 years, Art was one of the most kind, loving, generous people I could ever hope to meet. Our first connection came through the East Bay Anglers fishing club and developed into a lasting friendship in both pleasure and business. Fishing with him on the Cannonball or running together offshore for tuna or shark was always a fun experience. I was also fortunate enough to play at the game of golf while watching him play at the game he loved and played so well. And, who could ever forget The Cannonball Opens to which I was lucky enough to be invited. More important, however, Art became a mentor when I acquired J Royal Co. His advice and assistance when I sought his help was invaluable and never refused. He enjoyed helping as I did in receiving his help. Thank you for everything my friend. You will be missed but never forgotten. You lived a great life. Rest in Peace with your lovely Joanie. Norman

  Weldon and Elizabeth, Many years ago your Dad made gold fish hook tie clasps for his "fishing" gang to commemorate their Cape Cod fishing trips. I passed Bob's on to Randy. It is a very special memory of your Dad.
