To Barbaraâ??s family, I knew Barbara many years ago through her membership and support of the Union that we belonged to. Her quiet strength and resolve was always noted by our negotiating team members. Because of strong nurse leaders like Barbara we were able to make great advances in pay and working conditions. She was a source of quiet strength, intelligence and common sense and those who were lucky enough to know her learned much.

Marilyn and I want to extend our deepest sympathies to Frank and the entire DeRiso family. Barbara worked for the R.I.Veterans Home while I was the Commandant (Administrator). Barbara always brought that special love and kindness to the bedside of every veteran she cared for. She was respected and loved by all our residents as well as her peers. Barbara would always due those special things for all the residents that although not required, were always appreciated. Barbara you are at peace now, and Our Lord is richly blessing you for your service to this nation's veterans and your faith community. Marilyn and I say thank you Frank and your family for allowing our war veterans to have Barbara as their care giver for all those years. God Bless and be at Peace! Dave and Marilyn Foehr
