Obituary For Bernard "Bernie" Coffey
Bernard W. Coffey, 72, of Warren, RI, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 26, 2026 with his loving wife, Brenda M. (Raposa) Coffey, by his side. He was the son of Patricia (Turner) Coffey and the late Charles J. Coffey. Born in Newport, RI, “Bernie” was a long-time resident of Warren, RI.
Bernie worked at Magseal LLC. in Warren, RI for over thirty years, until his retirement. In his leisure time, he loved gardening, and enjoyed watching all his favorite New England teams, the Patriots, Boston Bruins, Celtics, and Red Sox. Most of all, Bernie loved the company of his family.
In addition to his mother, Patricia and his beloved wife, Brenda, Bernard is survived by his daughter, Cassandra Maritato and her husband Anthony of Buffalo, NY; granddaughters Isabella, Juliana, and Emilia, as well as several brothers in law, sisters in law, cousins and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St. Warren, RI 02885. A Private Burial will be held at a later date.
