Obituary For Blanche T. Fontes

Blanche T. Fontes, 90 of Warren, died June 22, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late George Fontes Sr. Born in Warren, a daughter of the late George and Mary (Harris) Trombley, she was a lifelong area resident, and resided in Riverside at Crescent View Manor for 29 years before returning to Warren. Mrs. Fontes was worked for Premier Thread for many years until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Jeans Church in Warren. Mrs. Fontes loved to travel and enjoyed arts and crafts, especially ceramics in her earlier years, and later, she became an avid bingo player. Most of all, she loved her family, and was deeply cared for by her son George, who she came to live with when she became ill. Survivors: sons, George Fontes Jr. husband of the late Beverly Fontes of Warren, and James Fontes and his wife Patti of Barrington, A brother, Joseph Trombley and his wife Rose of Warren, and one grandson, James Fontes Jr. She was the sister of the late George, Earnest and Clarance Trombley and Alice Pontes, Edna Palumbo and Mary Fontes. Arrangements are with SMITH FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL SERVICES 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, where the family will receive friends, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 from 4-7PM. Funeral Thursday at 9AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Jeans Church at 10AM. Burial in St. Jean-Baptiste Cemetery, Warren.
