Obituary For Bolus Albert Jamiel

On Sunday, October 2, 2016, Bolus A. Jamiel was called to his Heavenly Father at the age of 92. Born in Warren on March 3d, 1924, Bolus was the son of Albert and Mary (Falugo) Jamiel. Within a short period of time, Bolus earned a well-deserved reputation for having a belly-full laugh as he played practical jokes upon his brothers and sisters. As Nieces and nephews came into his life, which was rather easy with 12 siblings, Bolus earned the moniker, Uncle Bo. From thence on, everyone across this beautiful globe came to know and love the most exceptional spirit, Uncle Bo.

Tireless in his efforts to make the best of anything before him, Uncle Bo quickly came disinterested in the cubicle life of an accountant, and travelled across this great land with a few of his brothers. To his fathers chagrin, Uncle Bo would call home only to let his parents know they werent yet on their way home. An independent spirit who was unafraid of charting his own course and clearing his own path, Uncle Bo peace in movement and friendships, with copious amounts of laughter. Humility was not a title for Uncle Bo. He did not wear it like a badge. Uncle Bo lived it. He earned a modest living, an honest living as a self-employed man who cleaned rugs in the back room, while preparing customers tax returns in the front room (no exaggeration). Material possessions were not at all important.

Uncle Bo craved friendships and a simple gesture was all it took.

An honest disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, Uncle Bo understood his weaknesses and often could be found reflecting upon the written Word. Uncle Bos obedience to the Lord could be found easily. Indeed, he travelled to the poorest of the poor and provided assistance and a lot of laughter. As a missionary, he spread hope through actions and not just in the form of laying bricks in a remote village of Peru, but by genuinely taking the time to interact with the people, learning their language, their customs, and even their dance. Yes, the dancing! Uncle Bo returned from a mission to South America full of the Tango and the Cha Cha. For years after, he would entertain his family and friends with encouragement to Cha Cha Cha in their living rooms and on their patios. Serving the Lord, Uncle Bo glowed. He taught his nieces and nephews to catch blue shell crabs in the Palmer River, pick utility stocks, live low and travel lots. People all over the Earth will fondly recall Uncle Bo, as they look at the unique card on their desk with the walking man. Uncle Bo wrote many people, sending well-wishes and thoughtful questions, sharing loving thoughts and giving praise to them and the Lord. Adorned atop the envelope and note or letter was his hand drawn walking man. Your world brightened at the mere sight of the walking man envelope in the mail box.... It was Uncle Bo! Uncle Bo is here!

As this was drafted, mid-day clouds came in with the sea breeze, framing that of a walking manâ?¦.. and voices at St. peters gate proclaimed, Uncle Bo is here!

Beloved brother of, Jimmy, Edward, Zenobia Paulhardt, Anissa Polando and the late Morphis, Amon, Hirum, Albert and Joseph Jamiel, Zina Willis and Genevieve Jamiel.

The Uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, as well as countless friends around the globe.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4-6pm in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren , RI. www.wjsmithfh.com
