  Thank you all for taking the time to read this. My name is Michael and I am Carol Ann's youngest child. My Mother was an absolute amazing woman who lived twelve lives in the stretch of one life. I always looked up to my mother because she always led by example. My mother was born in Bristol a few days after Christmas to my grandparents. They gave her the name Carol Ann (Carol for the season, but Ann for the name of Mother Mary's mom); they must have known that she was going to be a mother figure to all. She grew up always striving to make a situation better, to make someone else's life easier, always offering a helping hand. She had plenty of cousins to play with and had some wonderful memories that she would share with us during Sunday dinners. My father saw all of her wonderful qualities and he scooped her up and married her, and he never let her go. My parents like all parents for 53 years had their fun times, their mad times, their sad times, and their worried times, but my mother was always a rock we turned to, she was the bridge over troubled waters, and she always made you feel better. My Mother and father were always on the same page, even if mom had to tell dad what page it was, but they were far more than soul mates, they were best friends, they were team mates, and they were equals in all decisions. My mother always said Dad is in charge, and Dad always said she was in charge, we always knew Dad was right about that. She taught me that women are strong, wise, smart, and an equal in the marriage, in the work force, and in every aspect of life. She never accepted that she couldn't do it, she roll up her sleeves and got it done. My mother showed me compassion for strangers, she offered a hand to people she didn't know because they needed a hand. She would help the homeless and less fortunate, and visit them so that they felt like someone cared. She always seemed to remember everyones dates, birthdays, anniversaries, deaths, and phone numbers
