Carol A. Press (Lavey), 73 of Warren, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 9, 2015.

She was the loving wife of Frederick Fred G. Press who passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2014. They were married for more than 39 years.

Carol was born in Warren where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Vitullo) Lavey of Warren.

She is survived by her four children, Kathy, Tony and Margaret DuPont and Deanna Smith and five grandchildren, Michael Gehrke, Christina and David Tatro, Ryan and Kyle Vieira.

Carol was a very loving mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She and her husband were happiest opening their home to their family especially their grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends shopping, entertaining and playing cribbage. She dearly loved her two dogs that were always by her side. The home she made brought them all together over the years to celebrate life as a family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, July 18 from 10am to 12pm in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren. Burial will be held at 12:30 pm in the St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Section 3, Vernon Street in Warren.
