Obituary For Carolyn Greene

Carolyn Greene (Nencka) 75 of Bristol passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 . Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Josephine (Kulig) Nencka. Carolyn was a 1956 graduate of Warren High School and the class Valedictorian. She was a graduate of RI Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at RI Hospital and Hasbro Childrens Hospital for many years. She also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island. Most recently she was a substitute nurse in the Bristol Warren School District. She is survived by 3 sons, James (Janet) Greene of Coverta,Oklahoma, Michael Greene of Oklahoma City and Christopher (Dara) Greene of Galloway, Ohio. She has 2 daughters, Victoria (Dominic) Fonseca of Bristol and Mary(Tom) McNamara of Delaware, Ohio. Carolyn is the sister of Frank L. Nencka and Walter Nencka of Warren; She had 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's death. I worked with her on Crawford Allen at RIH. I was just telling someone the other day about our adventures from being stuck at RIH for 5 days during the Blizzard of 1978. Carol was a good nurse with a tremendous sense of humor. She always spoke so proudly of all her children. I always enjoyed her stories about you. My condolences to all of you. You have lost a truly special lady.

The death of a loved one is never easy to deal with. When we lose a someone we love knocks us off balance and we are left with many emotions including anger, pain and denial; and we know that our lives will never be the same. Slowly our lives adjust and we go on anyway without them Love never dies, we just learn to live without our loved ones. May you find comfort in Godâ??s promise of an earthly paradise (Revelation 21:3-5) where even death will no longer exist. Sincere condolences for your loss.
