Carolyn (Reynolds) Hedwig Ryan, 82 of Barrington, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday July 12, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife and dance partner of the late Terrence A. Ryan Sr.

Born in Providence, the daughter of the late James and Caroline (Klein) Reynolds.

Carolyn worked many years bookkeeping for Viall Dairy, Grinnell Corp., and Burton Vending as well as medical record keeping for R.I. Nursing Care Center. She was very active in the Warren German American Club, serving in many capacities for over 50 years, 11 years as president. Carolyn was the center of her family and spent her life unselfishly caring for her parents, her uncle, her cousin, her husband and her children over the years.

She is survived by her children, Karolann Ryan Fletcher of Annapolis Maryland and Terrence A. Ryan Jr. and daughter-in-law Dawn Pavitt  of Seal Rock, Oregan; grandchildren Kyla McDonald and Caitlin Ryan of Oregon, as well as Ryan, Emily, and Caroline Hurd of Maryland. Carolyn is also survived by her great grandchildren Eli, Vanessa, Shaelyn, Dylan, and Elena.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, where the family will receive friends from 8:00-10:00am on Tuesday, July 12th, with a Mass at 10:30am in St Luke's Church, 108 Washington Rd, Barrington. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery, 301 So County Trail, Exeter.
