Carolyn M. (Kenney) Healey Simmons, 92 of Warren, Passed away on Thursday January 14, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John C. Healey and also the late Carlton A. Simmons.

Born in Fall River MA., a daughter of the late John A. Kenney and Ellen G. (Downey) Kenney.

Carolyn graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Union Hospital School of Nursing and from Rhode Island College with a B.A. as a nurse/Teacher, and she was also in the U.S. Army as a Cadet Nurse Corps, during WWII stationed in Ft. Devens Ma.

She worked as an RN at union Hospital (now Charlton) in Fall River and retired after working for over 20 years as a certified school nurse/teacher for the Warren School Department. She was an active Parishioner of St. Mary of the Bay parish in Warren.

She is survived by her daughter Carylyn McEntee of Lyndeborough, NH and her son John C. Healey, Jr. (Battalion Chief - retired, Prov. FD) of Warren. She leaves four grandchildren, Edward Bunnell and his wife Karen, Michael Bunnell and his wife Miki, Evan Bunnell, Laura St. John and her husband Timothy.

She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren Kayla Bunnell, Jack Bunnell, Yuta Bunnell, Yoji Bunnell, Emma Bunnell, Joshua St. John, Leah St. John, Jacob St. John and James St. John.

She was the sister of the late John A. Kenney, Helen G. Kenney, and Marion Waters.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday January 19, 2016 at 9:00am from the SMITH Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren, burial in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery.
