Obituary For Charles Edward Booth

Charles E. Booth, Jr, 83 of Warren, died at home surrounded by his family on February 1, 2021. He was a son of the late Charles E., Sr and Magdalene (Trainor) Booth. He was married for 52 years to the late Phebe-Ann (Garretson) Booth.

Charlie was a Master Mechanic for 44 years at Narragansett Improvement Co, retiring in 2000. He had previously worked for CL Guild. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 57 and had served in the Rhode Island National Guard. Charlie loved his street rods: restoring them in his garage and participating in various street rod organizations. His cars won numerous awards, local and national.

He leaves his children, Charles E. Booth III of Barrington, Alice McCarthy of Warren, and Bonnie-Lee Park of Joppa, MD. He was the brother of (late) Esther D'ambrosio and Karen Booth of Vero Beach. He is the beloved Grandfather of Sean McCarthy, Jodi-Lee Neves, Lauren McCarthy, Brittany Park and Carleigh-Ann Park; Great Grandfather of six.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services. Due to COVID restrictions, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to A Wish Come True, 1010 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02888.

    Knew Charlie from way back in the 60's and 70's. Once in a while we'd work together on a truck or piece of construction equipment. I learned a lot from him and mostly what a great guy he was. God Bless Charlie and Phoebe. Alex & Olinda MacDonald

    Sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He was a long time friend and supporter of the Bristol County Street Rod Association. He & Phebe were great ambassador's of our hobby. Till we meet again my friend, cruise on. Our heartfelt sympathy to the family. BCSRA
