My sincere condolences to all of Charlie's family. I worked with him at ORI and when I came onboard he became my mentor and teacher. But more importantly a wonderful friend to me and my wife. He also knew I enjoyed sailing and would have me crew for him occasionally on his Pearson 26 on Tuesday evenings on Narragansett Bay. I learned much from him in so many ways. It was such a wonderful privilege to have known him. Farewell and have a safe journey, Godspeed, my friend. I wish you fair winds & following seas ahead. We have the Conn and the Watch .... He did so much for so many, and it was my great privilege to know him and to be able to share our radio experiences. Charlie is greatly missed. Matt Hackman, KB1FUP, Warwick RI
