Obituary For Charles T. McPhillips

Bristol Charles T. McPhillips, 65, of Bristol, died Monday August 26, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Providence.

He was the husband of Jeannie (Ferreira) McPhillips , they have been married for over 40 years.

Charlie was born in Fall River, MA., a son of Valerie (Nencka) McPhillips of Warren and the late Thomas McPhillips . Mr.McPhillips was a Mathematics Teacher for over 35 years at the Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River, before retiring 12 years ago.

Charlie has been a Bristol resident for over 40 years, coming from Warren.

He was a parishioner of St. Marys Church.

Mr.McPhillips , loved to travel, and also he enjoyed building model airplanes and radio controlled airplanes.

He also liked spending time with his family, and his dogs Gibbs and Lexie and his chinchilla Lily.

Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter Samantha McPhillips and Derek DiFederico of West Brookfield Ma., his brothers Kenneth McPhillips of Warren, Lawrence McPhillips of Narragansett, his sisters Patricia Oztunc of Warwick, Kathleen McPhillips of Warren, and Eileen McPhillips of Maine.

Charlie was the grandfather of Addy DiFederico and Alayna DiFederico, and he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 at 9:00am from the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in in St. Marys Church , 330 Wood Street Bristol.

Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Bristol.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Friday morning from 9:00am 10:30am.

    So very sorry to hear this about Charlie. He was a great guy. Many laughs in high school. To his family I am so sorry for your loss. May CHARLIE RIP
