Obituary For Christine E. Papa

Christine E. (Benn) Papa, 63 of Bristol, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2014 at home.

She was the wife of Joseph Papa, they were married for over 40 years.

Christine was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Albert and Ruth (Berg) Benn.

She was a bookkeeper for the B.A. Ballou Jewelry Company for many years, and also had worked at Michaels.

She was a Bristol resident for the last 17 years, coming from Barrington.

Besides her husband she is survived by her brother Albert and his wife Carolyn Benn Jr. of Westport, MA., her sisters, Virginia Sheerin of Florida, Elizabeth Hibbs and her husband George of Florida, and Pamela Keegan and her husband Jack of Florida.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements by Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, Warren.

    Aunty Christy there are tears on my face and on my heart. You will never be forgotten . I know you are with Jesus now and he has already healed you of all your pain. You are with Gram and Grandpa and now you know true joy! You are missed by all. I think knowing your in a better place makes my sadness OK...     Joe and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Chris' passing. We met at LR Peck Jr High in the seventh grade and remained friends through Facebook. Chris was a great friend; funny, caring, and a wonderful person. We had good times while we were in school and I will miss her. She is at peace. Love, Nancie
