Obituary For Claudette Alice Alexander
Claudette Alexander 4/28/20
Claudette (Dallaire) Alexander died peacefully on April 28, 2020. She was 83 years old. Claudette will always be remembered for her smile, kind words and the sound of her humming beautiful songs all day long just like her mother. She was a joy to be with.
She was devoted to Louis, her husband of 65 years. They shared a lifetime of companionship and adventures, traveling throughout the years and living in Warren, Tiverton and Florida. They were true partners, working side-by-side whether it was the simple things like gardening which they loved, or while fighting as a team when she battled cancer thirty years ago. She was admired for the bravery and strength during her cancer treatments, and an inspiration on how she believed in Gods plan for her. She was a wonderful mother and role model to her children, Steve (Donna), Mike (Liz), Kathy (Bob) Massa, and Denise (Rick) Hoffman. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Nicole, Rob, Crystal, Amber, David, and Katie, and her 11 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for the joy she found in spending time with her grandkids; digging for worms, fishing, hosting cookie baking days, paddle boating and swimming on the lake, bowling and travelling with them. She loved to host huge family events with her large extended family.
Claudette is the daughter of the late Ovide and Antoinette (Landry) Dallaire and she is survived by her brothers Ovide, Donald, Robert and Paul Dallaire.
Claudette worked as a supervisor at Well Made Dress in Warren for twenty-five years and enjoyed the relationships she shared with her co-workers. In her fifties she was excited for a new adventure and enrolled in college and became a bookkeeper, which she loved. She cherished her time working at her church and was grateful for the support of her church community.
In retirement she enjoyed bowling and golfing and became a championship race walker, earning many gold medals in the Senior Olympics. She had a love for life and adventure and was blessed to enjoy it all. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the staff at St. Elizabeth Manor and Silver Creek Manor. Amazing people doing heroic work.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary of the Bay, 645 Main Street, Warren RI 02885. A celebration of Claudettes life will be held at a time and place to be determined. For online condolences and shared memories go to www.wjsmithfh.com
