Obituary For Cynthia A. Simmons

Cynthia A. Simmons, 74, daughter of the late August J. Simmons and Lillian (Rongo) Simmons, passed away on April 13th.

A native Rhode Islander from the Fox Point section of Providence, Cynthia was a visionary at a young age, when she began working as a financial consultant in the 1970s designing investment plans. She soon started her own business, C.A. Simmons and Associates, forming a pension plan and profit-sharing consultancy, investing in real estate, and becoming a regular speaker and advisor for the American Management Association. Alongside her remarkable achievements, Cynthia made it her “business” to help others. Her generosity was unsurpassed. She donated to numerous charitable organizations and was always willing to lend helping hand to those in need. Oh Cynthia, I'm so glad you are healed and are finally at peace. So many memories of being with you at Cleary School, singing like the Supremes, going to Scarborough Beach, all the parties. We had such fun. You will be missed. Kathie Lonergan (from Williams St. Fox Point)
