Obituary For Daniel Paul Carr

Daniel P. Carr, 94, died Monday March 16, 2020 at the Warren Skilled Nursing Center, in Warren.

He was the husband of Emma (Verry) Carr, they have been married since 1948.

He was an Electrician for the Providence Journal for over 35 years, before retiring.

He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during WWII.

Daniel has lived in Warren for over 58 years, coming from Cranston. He had attended services at the Baptist Church in Warren.

He was a member of the Soaring Glider Club, he built a soaring gliding plane, and also built motor airplanes. Mr. Carr had built his pool, porch, and arbor at his house, he enjoyed camping.

He did carpentry, concrete and electrical at home. He loved animals.

Daniel did typewriter repair for the Providence Journal, while he worked there.

Mr. Carr liked to travel, and he also built a doll house for his daughter which was a replica of his own home. He will be most remembered for never giving up on anyone, and he took care of everyone.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Chris Carr of Warren. He was the grandfather of Patty Casala, Jennifer and her husband Jacob Dalton. Mr. Carr was the great grandfather of Jordan Dalton and Daniel Respalie, also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Richard Carr, Matthew Carr, Norbert Carr, Charles Carr, Mary Banks and Esther Carr.

His funeral service will be held Monday March 23 2020 at 11:00 am in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren RI, burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.

    He was also the father of deceased daughter Susan Carr, And son, Daniel Carr. We just read about his loss today, 7/12/2020 online. Aunt Emma and cousin Christine, mom Elizabeth Verry and myself, BettyLou Donatelli send you are heartfelt condolences. We are very sorry for your loss.
