Obituary For David Borges

David A. Borges, 84, of Warren, RI, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A son of the late Manuel and Katherine V. (August) Borges and the beloved husband of Elaine (Conti) Borges, David grew up in Bristol and has lived in Warren for the last sixty years.

David was an accomplished Salesman and was recognized many times by winning several awards and trips for his accolades. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was often found sitting on his deck, enjoying the sunshine or, his favorite, a good sunset.

David was first and foremost, a family man and loved to get together for gatherings, getting together for the holidays – especially his favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and The 4th of July, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who he adored. He was a wonderful husband and father who loved life.

David was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and would watch the game any time he could. In his spare time, David loved to go for drives in the car, taking care of his yard which always looked amazing, talking to his neighbors and friends, going out to eat and quahogging when the weather would permit it.

In addition to his beloved wife, Elaine, David is survived by his son, David J. Borges of Johnston, RI; and his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul V. Borges.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11AM at North Burial Ground, 1081 Hope St. Bristol, RI.

Dave - Sue's and my heart go out to you, your mom and your entire family. We are so sorry for your loss. I know you were very close to your dad and will miss him dearly. He was a good man. I'll always cherish the memories of growing up with you and being able to spend a little time with your parents. I have fond memories of your dad inviting me over for a cookout just prior to me entering the Navy. Having lost my dad when I was 16 years old, I truly appreciated that special send off. May God bless him and your family. All of our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom. Always, Jeff and Sue.
