David G. Rainey, 76, of Barrington passed away peacefully in Providence, RI on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Born in North Charleroi, PA, he was the son the late Joseph and Margaret Marion (Brown) Rainey.

David spent over 20 years in service of our nation serving the United States Army and Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion. He worked security for many years with various employers. On his free time Dave most enjoyed time spent with his family.

He is survived by his daughters: Stephanie Lee Rainey -Taylor, Jessica Lynn Vizcaino, Kayla Marie Rainey, Melissa Ann Rainey; his grandchildren: Joshua Santiago, Rebecca Taylor, Jordan Fabrizio-Smith, Radyn Vizcaino, and Markus Holden; his brother: Joseph Rainey (Norida); his ex-wife: Deborah (McKenzie) Rainey; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Margaret and his siblings: Elva Mae Senic, George Rainey, Margaret Colvin, Ruth Short, James Rainey.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI where family will receive friends Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol. Burial will take place in Pennsylvania.
