Obituary For Dolores B Newberry

NEWBERRY, Dolores B. Dolly March 11, 1933 September 21, 2020

NEWBERRY, Dolores (Boudreau) Dolly, 87, of Warwick and formerly of Pawtucket, died peacefully with her family by her side on September 21, 2020 at Grace Barker Health in Warren. Her loving husband and soul mate of 54 years, William B. Newberry, Sr., predeceased her in 2007.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Newberry of Cranston; her son William Binney, Jr. and his wife Derilyn of North Dighton; her daughter Debra and her husband David Bolduc of Ashaway; her daughter Elisabeth and her husband Michael of East Providence; her son Mark and his wife Dawn of Coventry; her seven grandchildren: Jesse Newberry and his wife Becky of Wayland; Benjamin Newberry and his wife Jessica of North Dighton; Jake Newberry of Warwick; Stephenie Moran of Cranston; Denice Zack and her husband Brad of Boca Raton; David Bolduc, Jr. of Boca Raton; and Alexander Caron of West Warwick; her six great-grandchildren Ethan and Grady Newberry; Christine-Ida, Brittany, Elizabeth and Amelia Zack; and great-great granddaughter Lilith. She was the sister of the late Arthur Boudreau, Jr. and Robert Boudreau of Boynton Beach, FL. She leaves several nieces, cousins and special friends.

Dolly was a devoted wife and mother who touched many lives with her sincere kindness, bright smile and generous spirit. A 1952 graduate of Hope High School (Providence), she attended the Rhode Island School of the Deaf and later studied phlebotomy in Boston. After being swept off her feet, she eloped with Bill in 1953 and their long, happy marriage was a testament to true love. Their relationship, spirituality and values were the foundation on which they raised their children and cared for their extended family. Dolly cherished the gift of time spent in the company of others, and was a social butterfly who made friends easily. Simply beautiful both inside and out, she leaves a legacy of selflessness, humility and grace. Dolly personified a beautiful life, well-lived. Special thanks to Grace Barker Health administrators and staff and to her caregiver Gina Colvario Krupka for their extraordinary care and compassion. Our family is forever grateful.

A private memorial service will be held this weekend for the immediate family. A celebration of her life will be held in 2021 when she will be interred at Swan Point Cemetery along with her husband to be reunited together in eternity. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Deaf Missions (21199 Greenview Road, Council Bluffs, IA 51503, www.deafmissions.com) and Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation (12151 Avenue of the Chiefs, Crazy Horse, SD 57730-8900, www.crazyhorsememorial.org).

To the Newberry Family, Our sincere condolences go out to you. I did many projects for Dolly and Deb at her home in Warwick. It was always a great pleasure to sit with Dolly and hear about her incredible life and family. She made me feel like I was a part of her family also. She will always be remembered for her amazing ability to tell a story about her life and her love for her family. Paul and Sharon Lesage
