Obituary For Dorothy Costa

Dorothy Costa, 87, of Bristol, died March 7, 2013 at Orchard View Manor. She was the wife of the late Ernest H. Costa.

Born in Bristol, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mabel (Corriera) Bisbano, she resided in California and Florida and returned to Bristol in 2009.

Surviving are five beloved children, Ernest Costa Jr. of California, Ronald Costa of Colorado, Jerry Costa of Rumford, Phyllis Johnson of California and Jane Brandenburg of Florida. 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, where family will receive friends Saturday from 8-9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10AM in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, 385 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Interment will be Private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 www.wjsmithfh.com.

    No matter how prepared you may be, it is a very difficult thing to let go. My mother was loved by many, and will truly be missed. She left us with kind, and giving hearts to continue to strive to be good to one another in this life.We closed some doors, and opened some windows, and had unbelievable family time as a result of this journey with our mother. Bless your soul momma, and give dad a big hug for me!

    I was so glad I talked to Aunt Dot before her passing, and that she was aware of who I was.Her saying she had a special place in her heart just made me feel special like she did for so many.She said she wasn't saying good-by so we said until next time... love to all my cousins
