Eleanor "Dean" Accardi, 71, of Bristol, passed away at home after a long illness.

She was the wife of 47 years to Peter L. Accardi Jr.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia she was a daughter of the late George and Marie (Jones) Lucas.

Dean worked as a rate analyst for Providence-Washington and Metropolitan insurance companies. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons Peter Accardi III of Warren and Kevin Accardi of Bristol. She was a sister of Johnny Lucas, Barbara Saul and Mary Frances Parkhurst all of Virginia. She was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline Clinginpeel. She was the grandmother of Jordan, Mia and Lucas.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren where family will receive friends Tuesday Dec 30, 4-7pm. Her funeral will be Wednesday, December 31st, 9am in the Funeral Home with the service starting at 10am . Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Bristol.
