Eleanor (Smusz) Maddox, passed away Friday March 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at St Elizabeth's Manor, Bristol. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth W. Maddox of 62 years.

Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Lena Smusz. She was a lifelong resident of Warren. Eleanor was a graduate of Warren High School, class of "44". She was employed for a time at the Newport Naval Supply Depot during WWII. Eleanor also worked for the A&P Tea Co. for 10 years as a cashier. She was a member of St Casmir's Church until their closing. She was an avid Red Sox fan.

Beloved Mother of Audrey O'Brien and her husband Thomas; Grandmother of David "Davey Morris" Morrissette of 92 PROFM and Joel Morrissette of Warren Police Department and his wife Paula; Great Grandmother of Olivia, Ava and Julia Morrissette; Step-Grandmother of Kerry and his wife Erin O'Brien and Eric and his wife Kelly O'Brien; and Step-Great Grandmother of Abbie, Beckett and Summer O'Brien.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd Warren, where the family will receive friends Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 8:30am - 10:30am. Funeral immediately following from the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11am in St Mary of the Bay Church, Main St, Warren. Burial in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Warren.
